What is a large-area lighting floodlight?
A large-area lighting floodlight is a high-output LED luminaire that lights wide open areas from a tall pole or wall mount. In squares, sports fields, car parks, ports and truck parks, a single floodlight can cover hundreds of square metres.
The right floodlight count and layout
The goal in large-area lighting is to light the area evenly, without shadows, while keeping the number of floodlights and poles to a minimum. This requires calculating pole height, floodlight power, beam angle and tilt together — we prepare the lighting calculation free of charge with every quote.
The FOKUS series
The FOKUS LED floodlight is built with a one-piece die-cast aluminium housing, 92%-transmittance tempered glass, a PMMA floodlight lens, an ENEC-certified driver and an optional 10kV surge protector. A built-in spirit level makes parallel mounting easy.
